 The Graston Technique

Each of FitLife's Physical  Therapists have attended recent seminars to obtain certification in the Graston Technique.  In this form of treatment, the physical therapist uses various stainless steel instrucments to comb over and "catch" on fibrotic tissue, which immediately identifies tissue dysfunction and areas of restriction.  It breaks down scar tissue so it can be absorbed by the patient's body, and helps reduce inflammation that causes pain to the affected area.  These tools have been clinically proven to achieve quicker and better outcomes for a variety of diagnoses including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Tennis or Golfer's Elbow, Shin Splints, as well as generalized neck, back, shoulder, knee and foot pain.

Brooke Elefant, DPT notes,
"We have seen significant changes and great results in a short amount of time using the Graston Technique.  It is a great technique to add to the rehabilitation process."
