Aquatic Physical Therapy

FitLife Aquatic Physical Therapy uses the water’s natural therapeutic properties to improve patients’ motions and flexibility in ways that may be difficult out of water.  The buoyancy offered by the water reduces the stress on weight bearing joints.  This minimizes the risk of injury and provides a safer environment for patients to  improve their bone denisty, balance and proprioception.  Special populations including patients with arthritis, fibromyalgia, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis, those recovering from injury, and those with balance impairments all stand to benefit from Aquatic Physical Therapy.

A Licensed Physical Therapist works in the water with patients participating in our Aquatic Therapy Program. Our goal is to use the resistance and therapeutic properties of the water to assist patient recovery.

Aquatic Therapy occurs in the pool on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am-3:00pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm-3:00pm.
