"GEAR UP FOR WINTER" WORKSHOP SERIES!
We invite you to participate in our "Gear up for Winter" Workshop Series! Starting mid-November, and continuing through December, we're offering special workshops and classes to keep you motivated as the chilly winter months set in.
SATURDAY, November 12th: 11:00am-12:00pm
"Swimmer's Stroke Improvement" with Lori Quintavalle: This workshop is especially geared towards the lap swimmer and/or triathlete, and will focus on improving the technique and strength of your stroke. Lori can accomodate up to 8 people in this workshop. To ensure your spot in the workshop, please sign-up ahead of time at the front desk. On the morning of the workshop, check-in at the front desk then meet Lori in the pool area. *Not for beginners.
SATURDAY, November 12th: 1:00-2:00pm
"The Six Pilates Principles in Action" with Hildy Montaigne: In this workshop, you will learn to incorporate the 6 Principles of Pilates-Concentration, Centering, Control, Breath, Precision, and Flowing Movement-into your Pilates workouts. This workshop does not require prior sign-up. Hildy will be sure to inspire you to take your Pilates workout to the next level! Meet Hildy that afternoon in the group exercise studio. *All levels welcome!
THURSDAY, November 24th: 8:30-9:15am
"Thanksgiving Day Spin" with Megan DoNascimento: Happy Thanksgiving! Join Megan on the morning of Thanksgiving to burn those calories before the feast! The sign-up sheet for this class will be put out at the front desk at 8:00am that morning. All participants must sign-up prior to class, and bikes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Meet down in the Spin Studio after you check-in and sign-up! *All levels welcome!
SATURDAY, November 26th: 9:00-11:00am
"Two-Hour Super Spin" with Eric Thomas: Get ready to push your self to the max! Eric's normal class will be extended to a two-hour Super Spin class for this day only. Join in on this intensive indoor cycling workout to burn off those Thanksgiving holiday calories. The sign-up sheet for this class will be put out at the front desk at 8:30am that morning. All participants must sign-up prior to class, and bikes are available on a first come, first servce basis. Meet down in the Spin Studio after you check-in and sign-up! *All levels welcome.
SATURDAY, December 3rd: 11:45am-12:45pm
"Barre Without the Bar" with Kate Venini: Take part in this Barre-inspired workshop to learn how to enhance flexibility, improve balance, gain strength, and tone those hard-to-target muscles in your core, arms and legs! You'll learn that you can transform your physique by incorporating moves based on classic ballet positions. This effective and fun workout will be one you won't want to miss! Meet in the Group Exercise Studio after you check-in! *All levels welcome.
SUNDAY, December 4th: 12:30-2:00pm
"Intro to Yin Yoga" with Katy Kern: Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga where the student gets into a pose and holds the shape for 3-5 minutes. All postures are seated postures. The poses target connective tissue, or fascia, which helps students with their flexibility. This style of yoga also induces relaxation! This workshop will include a brief explanation of the origin of Yin Yoga, followed by a 75-minute class. Please bring your yoga mats and blocks! Meet in the Group Exercise Studio after you check-in. *All levels welcome.
SUNDAY, December 10th: 12:30-1:30pm
"Intro to Indoor Cycling" with Rachael Sullivan: We're bringing Spin upstairs! That's right, the spin bikes will be setup in the Group Exercise Studio to generate interest and intrigue about Indoor Cycling! Are you curious about what happens in an Indoor Cycling class, but haven't found a way to add it into your workout? Would you like to burn 400-600 calories in 45-60 minutes? Would you like to meet fellow FitLife members and have fun while burning off steam and stress? Rachael will answer all of your questions, and walk you through the benefits of Spin and basic bike setup for a safe and effective workout. The sign-up for this class will be put out at the front desk at 12:00pm that day. All participants must sign-up prior to class, and bikes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Meet upstairs in the Group Exercise Studio after you check-in and sign-up! *All levels welcome.
FRIDAY, December 16th: 7:00-8:15pm
"Zumba Glow Party" with Sonia Maldonado: Kick off your Friday night with us... This is a heart-pumping, hip-shaking, Zumba Glow dance party you won't want to miss! Wear your neon and bright color workout gear, and we'll provide the glow accessories! Be ready to move to good music, enjoy a great dance workout, and have a lot of fun! Meet upstairs in the Group Exercise Studio after you check-in! *All levels welcome.
Join us for Family Swim, open to FitLife members and their children. With a lifeguard on duty, spend safe, fun, quality time with your family on two Sundays per month during the hours of 1:00 – 5:00pm. Family Swim dates are always posted online, and throughout our facility.
